URGENT! URGENT! URGENT! We have had an unexpectedly severe snow/sleet event this afternoon in Avondale, Decatur and surrounding areas. Current road conditions are treacherous. Pending any deteriorating weather conditions, we are going to DELAY THE START of the Avondale Children's Choir DRESS REHEARSAL tomorrow morning until 11:30 AM. PLEASE NOTE: We are asking ALL SINGERS in all three choirs to be in the sanctuary by 11:30 AM. Singers will be dismissed according to the schedule below (youngest to oldest) Apprentice Choir will be dismissed at 12:15 PM Advanced Choir will be dismissed at 12:45 PM Ars Cantabile will be dismissed at 1:30 PM If conditions worsen overnight these plans may change.
WHEN: Monday, December 11th Performance is at 6:30pm. Call (arrival) times are as follows: Ars Cantabile - 5pm Advanced Choir - 5:30pm Apprentice Choir - 5:45pm Doors open for general seating at 6:05pm. Rehearsal will not be open to family/guests. Attendees will wait in the hallway, breezeway, Family Life Center, etc. until rehearsal is over. Concert will last approximately 1 hour. Park Springs Performance WHEN: Thursday, December 7th Arrive by 5:50pm (Performance time 6:30-7:30pm) Plan on approximately 30 min travel time from Decatur area so that you will arrive on time. WHERE: Park Springs Retirement Center - 500 Springhouse Circle, Stone Mountain, GA 30087 (Carpool if possible.) WHAT TO WEAR: Concert uniform which consists of black uniform dress*, black tights/socks, black closed toed shoes OR nice black pants, black socks, black shoes and white tux shirt with black bowtie and cummerbund. * Dresses are to be hemmed to the top of the foot (no shorter).
